This is it. The moment you've been waiting for. Time to meet the dragon, Smaug. When Bilbo goes down there to get the Arkenstone, Elsa will go along with him, knowing she might be of some assistance thanks to her powers. Plus, they both carry a little item, that no one knows they have. And also, as I said before, in maybe the second chapter that gets to the last movie of the Hobbit, little spoiler, I'm bringing in one more character from Frozen. Know who? Besides Anna. If not, you'll find out when the time comes. On we go.
But although you and your company may be the only humans for miles in any direction, you are certainly not alone. Vicious monsters who thrive in the cold have inhabited this desolation for millennia, feeding off each other. And now the ghastly and sapient Elder Things roam the expanses in search of tools, information, and prey.
Balin and Bilbo had gone further down the halls, with Balin leading Bilbo to where he needed to search for the Arkenstone.
'You want me to find a jewel?' Bilbo asked as he and Balin stopped.
'A large, white jewel,' Balin confirmed.
'That's it? Only, I imagine there's quite a few of them down there.'
'There's only one Arkenstone, and you'll know it when you see it.' Balin replied walking down a little further and Bilbo followed him. 'In truth, lad, I do not know what you will find down there. You needn't go if you don't want to. There's no dishonor in turning back.'
'No, Balin. I promised I would do this, and I think I must try,' He reassured the gray haired Dwarf.
Balin had then let out a small chuckle. 'It never ceases to amaze me.'
'What's that?'
'The courage of Hobbits. Go now, with as much luck as you can muster.'
Bilbo began to walk down the halls, but then Balin stopped him. 'Oh, Bilbo. If there is, in fact a live dragon down there, don't waken it.'
Bilbo continued down the halls, but was stopped once more by another voice.
'Bilbo!'
The Hobbit looked behind to see Elsa following him down.
'I'm coming with you. I don't want you to have to face this alone,' the snow queen said to her Hobbit friend.
'Are you sure you want to do this?' Bilbo asked her.
'I'm positive. Plus I think my powers may help us and give us a better chance at surviving.'
'Very well.'
The Hobbit and the snow queen both continued down the halls, following where the path led them, until they were in a massive room.
The room was the room of the treasure hoard of Thror; They'd seen mounds and mounds of gold and gems as far as the eye could see, and Elsa stared in amazement, as she had never seen such a great treasure hoard.
Bilbo slightly knocked on a wall, and his knock echoed through the halls He flinched as and moved back, as to not wake the dragon. 'He's not at home. Good.' And they both made there way into the room, down a set of stairs and into the gold.
'Do you see it anywhere?' Elsa asked.
'The dragon or the Arkenstone?'
'Both.'
'No.'
'Then let's hope we can find it without waking the dragon.'
They both began to search through the gold, looking for a large, white jewel.
Bilbo had picked up smaller white gems, and a big red-violet one. Then he picked up a big, rock shaped white gem, which he thought might've been the Arkenstone, but already knew it wasn't, so he tossed it aside, and it made a little noise. Elsa and Bilbo flinched, hoping that the dragon, wherever it was, wouldn't hear it.
They continued to move through the gold, searching for the stone.
'Arkenstone. A large, white jewel.' Bilbo repeated what Balin had said.
'But what does it look like? There could be dozens of those in here,' Elsa responded.
'Indeed. Very helpful.'
They continued to look while climbing a mountain of the gold, then Bilbo grabbed a cup which was buried beneath the gold. Just after he did the gold started to shift, and revealed one of the eyes of Smaug.
They both looked at it and became scared instantly, for they now knew where the dragon was sleeping.
Elsa and Bilbo flinched and hid behind a pillar, in case it woke up.
Thankfully the dragon didn't wake, but it did start to move in its sleep.
Elsa and Bilbo both got away from the pillar, but as they moved, the dragon moved again and showed where its tail was. Seconds after doing so, it moved even more, and the gold began to shift more, revealing where its whole body was.
They tried moving once more, but then Smaug moved again, and his face slightly came out of the gold.
Elsa and Bilbo tried to move down the mountain of gold again, and when they did, the dragon opened one of its fiery, orange eyes. They moved quick and hid behind one of the mounds of gold, and barely got out of his sight.
They were both scared and didn't know what to do, for the dragon was about to arise.
Then Elsa had an idea. 'Bilbo, give me the ring.' She said quietly to the Hobbit.
Bilbo quickly took the ring out of his pocket, and gave it to Elsa. Once she had it, she gave Bilbo her left hand, then put the ring on her right, and they both became invisible. Like it had when they used it to hide from the spiders and Gollum, everything became blurry and colorless.
Just after they became invisible, Smaug arose from the gold, revealing himself; He was a massive red dragon, with glowing orange eyes, massive wings on his sides, with impenetrable looking scales and hundreds of really sharp teeth.
'Well,' He spoke in a deep voice. 'Thieves. I smell you. Two of you. I hear your breaths.' He looked in their direction as if he could see them. 'I feel your air.' He moved right above them, and they were forced to go low, so as to not be hit by his scales. 'Where are you? Where are you?' He looked right in their direction.
No sooner had Elsa and Bilbo took off running down the gold, did the dragon follow.
They his behind the pillars, catching their breath.
'Come now, don't be shy. Step into the light,' Smaug said moving all over, looking for them. 'There is something about you both.' He moved again, and went on the other side of the pillar they were hiding behind. 'Something you carry. Something made of gold, but far more precious.'
And the word precious began to echo through both their heads. They began to hallucinate, and both saw a flaming eye, until Bilbo took the ring, and they became visible once more.
'There you are, thieves in the shadows.'
They both looked to the dragon and couldn't think of what to say.
'We did not come to steal from you, O Smaug the Unassesably Wealthy. We merely wanted to gaze upon your magnificence.'
'We came to see if you really were as great as the old tales say,' Elsa took over.
'We did not believe them,' Bilbo finished in a high voice.
Smaug moved away a distance to show them his massive self. 'And do you now?!'
'Truly,' Bilbo said. 'The tales and songs, fall utterly short of your enormity, O Smaug the Stupendous.'
'Yes. You truly are a magnificent creature,' Elsa chimed in.
'Do you think flattery will keep you both alive?'
'No, no,' Bilbo answered very nervously.
'No, indeed. You both seem familiar with my name, but I don't remember smelling your kinds before. Who are you two , and where do you come from, may I ask?' The dreaded dragon said coming closer to them.
Before Elsa and Bilbo could say anything, they looked right underneath the dragon, and there they saw a white glowing jewel.
'That must be it,' Elsa said quietly to herself so Smaug wouldn't hear.
Bilbo knew they had to distract Smaug in order to obtain the stone, so he looked back up to the dragon. 'I come from under the hill.'
Elsa also knew she had to help him. 'And I from the North Mountains of Arendelle.'
'Underhill?' Smaug moved to face Bilbo. 'And Arendelle?' He looked to Elsa.
'And under hills and over hills our path has led. And through the air, we are they who walk unseen,' Bilbo continued.
'Impressive,' said the dragon as he moved across another pillar. 'What else do you both claim to be?' He looked back towards them.
'I am...' Bilbo stuttered for the dragon was so close, that he was now only inches from them. 'Luck-wearer. Riddle maker.'
Before speaking, Elsa moved her face away, for she tried not to gag at the smell of the dragon's horrible, wretched breath. 'Snow queen.'
'Lovely titles. Go on,' said Smaug.
'Barrel riders,' Bilbo said again.
'Barrels? Now that is interesting.' He moved away from them once more. 'And what about your little Dwarf friends? Where are they hiding?'
'Dwarves?' Bilbo pretended he didn't know what he was talking about. 'No. No Dwarves here. You've got that all wrong.'
'Oh, I don't think so, Barrel riders! They sent you in here to do their dirty work while they skulk about outside.'
Elsa and Bilbo began to move closer to the Arkenstone.
'Truly you are mistaken, O Smaug, Chiefest and Greatest of Calamities.' Bilbo said to the dragon.
'You both have nice manners, for thieves and liars! I know the smell and taste of Dwarf. No one better!'
They continued moving closer to grab the Arkenstone.
'It is the gold! They are drawn to treasure like flies to dead flesh.'
Elsa and Bilbo were right about to grab the stone, but then Smaug slammed his claws down, making it fall down the mounds of gold, and Elsa and Bilbo went after it.
'Did you think I did not know this day would come?!' The dragon said in a booming voice, chasing after them. 'That a pack of canting Dwarves would come crawling back to the mountain?!'
Elsa and Bilbo had fallen off a small ledge, and Smaug moving made the gold shift, and it started to fall on and cover them.
As Smaugh put his paw on the pile they were hidden in, Elsa and Bilbo burst out andmoved through the gold, trying to get the Arkenstone. But Smaug's moving was causing the whole place to rumble, and it made it hard to grab the stone.
'The King Under the Mountain is dead. I took his throne, I ate his people, like a wolf among sheep.'
Elsa and Bilbo moved down a staircase, still going after the stone, while the dreaded dragon stayed close behind them. They jumped off the stairs and back into the gold, chasing after the Arkenstone, which was falling down the piles of gold.
'I kill where I wish, when I wish. My armor is iron.'
Both the snow queen and the Hobbit slid down the piles of gold, to get the stone, and Smaug flew down after them.
'No blade can pierce me,' Smaug ranted on.
Elsa and Bilbo had been forced to hide from Smaug, by hiding underneath a bridge or behind a pillar, but no matter where they hid, it didn't take long for him to find them.
'It's Oakenshield, that filthy Dwarvish usurper,' said the dragon as Elsa and Bilbo hid under another bridge.
Elsa and Bilbo both stayed under the bridge, and saw the Arkenstone just up ahead.
'He sent you both in here for the Arkenstone, didn't he?'
'No, no, no.' The Hobbit denied what Smaug said. 'We don't know what you're talking about.'
'Right. We don't even know him,' Elsa said trying to help fool Smaug.
'Don't bother denying it. I guessed his foul purpose some time ago,' Smaug glared right towards them with his fiery orange eyes. He grabbed hold of one of the pillars, where Elsa and Bilbo were near, and they hid behind another one. 'But it matters not.' The dragon continued on looking right at them. 'Oakenshield's quest will fail. The darkness is coming. It will spread to every corner of the land. You are being used, Thieves in the shadows. You were only ever a means to an end The coward, Oakenshield has weighed the value of your lives, and found it worth nothing.
'That's not true!' Elsa exclaimed.
'No, you're lying,' Bilbo said back to the dragon.
'What did he promise you? A share of the treasure?' Smaug pulled his left claw out of the gold and slammed it on top of the bridge they were hiding under. 'As if it was his to give. I will not part with a single coin. Not one piece of it.'
And then Elsa and Bilbo ran to grab the Arkenstone.
They were very close to grabbing it, but Smaug's tail was buried under the gold, so that when he lifted it, he flipped them into the air, causing the stone to fall down the piles of gold once more.

'My teeth are swords, my claws are spears. My wings ARE A HURRICANE!' He bellowed loudly.
Elsa and Bilbo then looked to see on the left side of Smaug's chest, and Elsa had smiled happily in relief. It was just as Bain said: He was missing a scale underneath his left wing.
'Bilbo, look there. On his chest,' Elsa said quietly to him.
'So it is true. The Black Arrow found its mark.' He said in a voice as soft as Elsa had.
But they weren't quiet enough for the dragon not to hear. 'What did you say?' He glared once more at them.
'We were just saying your reputation precedes you, O Smaug, the Tyrannical.' Bilbo continued with flattery. 'Truly. You have no equal on this earth.'
They both looked down and saw the Arksenstone, which was right in front of them.
Smaug lightly growled. 'I am almost tempted to let you both take it. If only to see Oakenshield suffer. Watch it destroy him. Watch it corrupt his heart, and drive him mad.' Smaug stared at them with his orange, glowing eyes. 'But I think not. I think out little game ends here. So tell me thieves, how now shall you choose to die?' And then his chest began to glow red like fire.
He moved his head towards them, opening his massive jaws, and just before he could reach them, Elsa shot a flurry from her hands, and blinded him with snow.
Bilbo quickly took her by the hand and put the ring on her middle finger, making them both disappear.
When Smaug could no longer see them, he breathed a big wave of fire.
As the dragon continued searching for them, Elsa and Bilbo went up the nearest staircase to get away from him.
The snow queen and the Hobbit both made their way to the exit, from which they came in from.
When they got up there, Thorin was there waiting for them, with his sword at hand.
'You're alive!' Thorin said to them both.
'Not for much longer,' Bilbo said running up the stairs.
'Did you find the Arkenstone?' Thorin asked standing in front of the exit.
'The dragon's coming,' Bilbo said almost out of breath.
'The Arkenstone,' Thorin repeated himself. 'Did you find it?' He looked at both Elsa and Bilbo with his greedy looking eyes.
'We have to get out,' Bilbo said walking to the exit door.
'If we don't go, the dragon will kill us,' Elsa spoke up, and followed Bilbo.
But as they tried to leave, Thorin blocked them with his sword.
'Thorin,' Was all Bilbo said.
Thorin then pointed his sword at them.
'Thorin, please put it down,' Elsa tried reasoning with the Dwarf.
But Thorin didn't say anything; He just kept moving towards them, with his sword raised at them, and they were forced to move back.
The Dwarf leader of the company had still just stared at them, with his greedy eyes. But then he looked left, and saw the dragon.
Smaug glared at them with his orange glowing eyes, looking ready to attack any second.
Then the rest of the Dwarves all ran in with their weapons at hand.
Smaug bellowed and moved towards them. 'You will burn!' He yelled as his chest lit up with fiery red light once more.
'Run!' Dwalin yelled, and they jumped off the bridge, and slid down the gold. Just as they did, Smaug let out a wave of fire, and the group moved through the gold, and into a small doorway.
Smaug raised his head up, and breathed his fire, making it fall down like a wave.
Thorin had been close to getting burned, because he was standing in the doorway, when the wave of flames hit.
He ran into a room with the others, with his cloak on fire.
The room they were in looked to be a dining room, where the Dwarves would have their feasts.
The group moved on, going up a flight of stairs as the dragon bellowed.
In a different part of the castle, the group was moving across an area, where they were moving through the halls of stone.
Thorin peered over to make sure Smaug was nowhere nearby.
'We've given him the slip,' said Dori.

'No,' Balin intervened. 'He's too cunning for that.'
'So where to now?' asked Bilbo.
'The western guardroom,' Thorin answered. 'There may be a way out.'
'It's too high,' said Balin. 'There's no chance that way.'
'It's out only chance,' Thorin responded back. 'We have to try.'
And Thorin led on, moving across the stone bridge.
On that bridge, there could be seen the many halls of stone in the castle, and the group silently moved across, watching for the dragon.
A gold coin then dropped right at Bilbo's feet, drawing the attention of all the Dwarves.
Bilbo checked to see if it'd come from him, but then everyone looked to see that Smaug was moving right above them.
They all stayed perfectly silent, as to not let Smaug hear or see them.
Thorin waited till Smaug was gone before he led them on, quickly and quietly, until they finally made it to another room.
In that room, it was completely covered in dust and cobwebs, and dead bodies of Dwarves lay dead everywhere and the emergency exits were all blocked by broken pieces of stone.
'That's it then,' said Dwalin. 'There's no way out.'
'The last of our kin,' Balin said looking to all the dead bodies. 'They must have come here, hoping beyond hope. We could try to reach the mines. We might last a few days.'
'No,' Thorin stepped in front of the others, looking at all the bodies. 'I will not die like this. Cowering. Clawing for breath.' The Dwarf leader then turned to face the others. 'We make for the forges.'
'He'll see us, sure as death,' Dwalin spoke up.
'Not if we split up.'
'Thorin,' Balin chimed in. 'We'll never make it.'
'Some of us might. Lead him to the forges. We kill the dragon. If this is to end in fire, then we will all burn together.'
Then Elsa stepped up. 'If I have to burn to death, unless it were with my own sister, I wouldn't rather go down with anybody but you all.'
After they each split up into a few different groups and went off in separate directions, Thorin lead Balin, Elsa and Bilbo across another stone bridge, running across to get to the forges.
'Flee,' the dragon peered out behind a wall of stone. 'Flee. Run for your lives. There is nowhere to hide.' And the dreaded dragon moved closer to them.
'Behind you!'
Smaug turned his attention to Ori, Dori and Bombur on a lower level, and went after them instead.
Thorin, Balin, Elsa and Bilbo all took this opportunity and continued running while Ori, Dori and Bombur lead the dragon away.
'Hey you! Here!' Dwalin yelled as he and Nori who were on a higher level tried to get the dragon's attention.
Smaug looked towards the other two Dwarves then went after them, as Dwalin and Nori made a run for it
The dragon then looked to see Bifur and Gloin running on another level, then went after them.
When they went into a tunnel, Smaug breathed out a wave of fire to get them, and the two Dwarves slid down a couple of ramps and into the mine carts to avoid the fire.
While making their way into the forges, Balin had been leading them through the halls, then went down a passage.
'This way. It's this way!' Balin lead on. 'Come on!'
Though Elsa and Bilbo followed Balin, Thorin kept running straight.
'Thorin!' Bilbo yelled out to him.
He turned back around, but as he did, Smaug turned the corner. 'Follow Balin!' Thorin ordered him as Smaug's chest lit up with a red glow once more.
Bilbo went through the passage, following Balin, and before Elsa did the same she created a big wall of ice, to hopefully buy them time. But as Smaug's wave of fire came, she quickly followed Bilbo and Balin, and Smaug's fire burned through her wall of ice like it was nothing and Thorin jumped off the edge, while the dragon followed him.
Elsa and Bilbo continued following Balin into the forges, there behind a set of big, metal barriers, and they'd regrouped with the rest of the Dwarves where there were furnaces, and big statues of Dwarves.
'The plan's not gonna work,' Dwalin said walking up to Thorin. 'Those furnaces are stone cold.'
'He's right,' Balin agreed. 'We've no fire hot enough to set them ablaze.'
Then Smaug's bellowing roars could be heard, as he was coming back up.
Thorin got an idea. 'Have we not?' We walked over to the barriers, as Smaug showed his ugly face once more. 'I did not look to see you so easily outwitted. You have grown slow and fat, in your dotage, slug!' He insulted the dragon, hoping it would enrage him and make him breathe fire. He looked back to the others. 'Take cover. Go!'
And the entire group quickly moved behind a barrier, knowing Smaug was about to try and burn them.
Just after they took cover, Smaug unleashed a massive wave of fire, and though they were safe behind the barriers, the heat from the fire was unbearable.
After a few seconds Smaug stopped, and the furnaces were lit ablaze.
The group moved towards the furnaces, as Smaug came and tried to break through the barriers.
'Bombur. Get those bellows working. Go!' Thorin commanded.
Bombur ran to one of the furnaces, and grabbed onto a big chain to pull it down, to put more heat and pressure into the furnaces and melt the gold.
Thorin turned his attention back to Smaug who was starting to break through the barriers. 'Bilbo!' Thorin said to the Hobbit. 'Up there. On my mark, pull that lever.' He said gesturing to a lever on a higher level. Then he looked to Elsa. 'Can you use your magic to keep him at bay?'
'I don't know. His fire is the hottest I've ever felt. He easily melts my ice, but I'll try.'
Elsa moved towards the dragon, still breaking through the barriers. There she raised both her hands and started to shoot her ice magic at him, and try to freeze his claws to the barriers.
She'd managed to do it a few times, by freezing one part of him, but it was nothing he could break out of.
'Balin, can you still mix a flash-flame?' Thorin turned to Balin.
'Aye. It'll only take a jiffy. Come on!' He went into a nearby room.
Dwalin looked to see the dragon still breaking through, and Elsa couldn't keep him back any longer. 'We don't have a jiffy.'
Smaug put his claws through, and finally broke down the barriers, and Elsa had made a run for it, just as he got through.
The dreaded dragon had the fiery glow in his chest and began looking all over for the Dwarves. He looked to see Bilbo running up to the lever, but then he looked left and saw Thorin.
'Now!' Thorin yelled to Bilbo.
On Thorin's command Bilbo pulled the lever, and the Dwarf statues all had water come out of their mouths, and that water stopped Smaug from breathing his fire on Thorin.
Smaug quickly flew back, and the water began to move water wheels, which began to start up all the mining tools, such as the gears and the carts.
But then Smaug started to come back, and move towards Thorin.
Bifur and Gloin, who were still in the mine carts popped out and looked down to the dragon.
Then a small, white explosion hit Smaug, which was coming from Nori, Dori and Balin throwing flash-flames at him, but it wasn't working.
Then Gloin used his sword to cut one of the ropes holding up the mine carts, and drop onto Smaug.
Thorin took this opportunity and pulled a chain, which made the furnaces release melted down gold.
Smaug began to get tangled up with the mine carts.
'Lead him to the Gallery of the Kings,' Thorin ordered.
The dragon kept moving all over, trying to get the mine carts off him, and he almost hit Bilbo with one wall flinging them all over.
Thorin rushed past Smaug, using a wheel barrel, and jumped into one of the streams of gold with it.
All the water wheels began to crumble and fall apart, thanks to Smaug, and Bilbo, who was still near the lever fell off when the one he was on crumbled, and Elsa ran over to help him up.
'Keep going, Bilbo! Run!' Thorin called back to him, still moving across the stream of melted gold.
The dragon turned his attention towards the Snow Queen and the Hobbit, and they both made a run for it.
They made their way into the Gallery of the Kings, where tapestry's hung in the halls all over, but then Smaug crashed through the wall, knocking a few of them off, and one fell on Elsa and Bilbo.
'You think you can deceive me, Barrel-riders? You have come from Lake-town. This is some sordid scheme hatched between these filthy Dwarves, and those miserable tub-trading Lakemen. Those sniveling cowards, with their long bows and Black Arrows. Perhaps it is time I paid them a visit.' And Smaug moved towards the castle gates.
'Oh, no,' Bilbo said softly.
'He'll harm many innocent lives,' Elsa said worriedly.
'This isn't their fault!' Bilbo got up and Elsa followed close behind. 'Wait!' The Hobbit yelled to the dragon. 'You cannot go to Lake-town!'
'He's right. They had nothing to do with this!' Elsa sided with him.
'You care about them do you?' Smaug turned back to face them. 'Good. Then you can watch them die.' And he proceeded on.
'Here!' Came Thorin's voice. 'You witless worm.'
'You,' the ferocious dragon looked behind himself to see Thorin standing on top of a big, stone statue.
'I am taking back what you stole,' the Dwarf leader looked right into the dragon's orange glowing eyes.
Smaug moved towards Thorin. 'You will take nothing from me, Dwarf. I laid low your warriors of old. I instilled terror in the hearts of men. I am King Under the Mountain.'
'This is not your kingdom. These are Dwarf lands. This is Dwarf gold. And we will have our revenge.' He then yelled something in Dwarvish language, and he and the other Dwarves all pulled chains off the statue, removing the stone, and revealing a tall, golden statue of the King Under the Mountain.
Elsa and Bilbo stood where it was safe, away from the dragon, as he stared into the statue's eyes. In an instant the statue melted down, burying Smaug in the hot, melted gold.
But it didn't work; Smaug burst out of the river of gold, groaning loudly. 'Revenge?! Revenge?! I will show you revenge!' He finally bust through the castle gates, and flew up into the sky, then descended, flying down towards Lake-town.
As the dreaded dragon flew down to the small town he had said just one sentence. 'I am fire. I am...death.'
Elsa and Bilbo had just stood near the busted down gates and stared to the dragon moving towards Lake-town.
'What have we done?' said Bilbo.
And that's it for movie number 2. How'd you like this one? I know I liked it a lot. And there's something about me putting up the chapter today. Today's October 17th, it was three years ago today I started this story. Sorry I waited so long, I just really wanted one chapter to be put up on the same day I published it. Anyhow, next chapter Smaug attacks Lake-town, and it also starts with movie number 3. After that chapter, you'll finally see which other character from Frozen I bring in. Any guesses who? If not, you'll find out soon enough. Please read, review and enjoy.
